Deciding on a mobile has a lot to do with what the parents are looking for in the mobiles purpose. We looked at many mobiles trying to decide what features we wanted. After reading about the Montessori method, we decided to go with one geared to stimulate baby visually and physically. This mobile fits the bill! Baby enjoys staring at the images and I enjoy switching them out to keep her interested. It doesn’t over-stimulate nor bore baby. As she gets older, I’m sure she will bat at the images.

I think most mobiles under or over stimulate. This mobile is a great tool for baby’s development. Musical mobiles may be nice for some. I prefer using a CD player in the room and switching around CD’s for baby’s musical pleasure. We use a mobile for visual and physical stimulation.

We received this mobile as a gift when our daughter was only a few weeks old. She was fascinated by it from the beginning and continues to be interested in it even at 6 months. (Once she started getting grabby, we had to remove the extra plastic links so that the images were out of reach.) Our baby clearly preferred this mobile to the musical one that we bought her (at twice the price, I see now). The changeable images keep it interesting and stimulating, from very simple black/white/ red geometics for the youngest babies, to more colorful images and faces as baby gets older. This mobile is designed for infants up to 5 months, but our 6 and 1/2 month old is still interested in it–I haven’t had the heart to move it from its position on the changing table. One of the best gifts ever!

I was hesitant to buy this at first, since it was brand new and there were no reviews out on it yet. But, let me tell you – it was worth every penny! This mobile is made by the same company as the popular ‘symphony in motion’ mobile, so the quality and durability is there. For us, we loved the princess theme of the mobile and of course the cute pink colors. Just like the symphony in motion mobile, the top part of the mobile can be detached from the music box base part. There is a night lite option as well, and you can select either loud music or soft. The classical songs that this mobile plays are perfect for soothing a tired baby or just as background music. Another perk for us is the included remote control. We hang it near our bed, so that we can operate it from across the room (baby’s crib is in our bedroom). If you are considering this mobile for your baby girl, we highly recommend it.

I loved this mobile and couldn’t wait for it to arrive. After assembly I tried to put it on my daughter’s crib and found that it wouldn’t fit. The way that the music box/rail attachment is assembled makes it impossible to fit on a thicker crib rail. I would guestimate that it won’t fit on a rail any wider than 3-4 inches. I contacted the company to see if there is any way to adapt it and they told me no. I would highly recommend measuring your rail first before buying. If you’re set on a Tiny Love mobile the company does make other mobiles with a strap that is used to attach it to the rail. Otherwise, you’ll be stuck like me trying to figure out a safe way to adapt it or whether just to return it all together.

This mobile is FANTASTIC! Unlike other travel mobiles which have to be wound up by hand, this one is battery operated. So you can just turn it on and it will stay on until you turn it off- no automatic turn off. Also, it has two modes- one which plays music while it spins and the other is mute- so no music while it spins. I love the two sides- black and white for when they are little and then little soft, stuffed bugs that hang down for when they are bigger. Also- it has two ways to attach it- a large lobster claw and also a velcro strap for those places where the claw won’t fit.

My little boy- 4 mo. old, loves it! I really hesitated to buy it because I thought was a little excessive for a car toy but I’ve realized you can use it anywhere! We’ve used it in the infant carrier, on his bassinette, etc. A lifesaver on those two hour drives to visit our relatives! We’ve had it three months and used it quite frequently and still have not had to replace the batteries.

We bought this for our infant carrier and it hangs very low and close to our baby’s face. The clip also slips and does not hold on tightly to the bar, and the velcro is not secure enough to rely on alone.

We also thought it would be good to hang on our pack n’ play, but it is too heavy to clip on anything. We returned it and found that just hanging little animals on the bar are better than swinging a heavy mobile an inch or two from her face!

I was charmed by the image of the butterflies mobile; the wings appeared soft in color, almost diaphanous. Thus I was slightly dismayed to find the wings to be highlighter green, blue and a garish hot pink. Affixing it to the ceiling certainly helped. And sunlight is the mobile’s best friend. Yet the colors still don’t come close to the ones shown in the picture, which makes me feel like I purchased an ersatz version.

This would be cute in a nursery, but if you’re like me and want it for adult modern decorative purposes, I suggest seeking elsewhere.
